Descend into the world’s largest caldera, the Ngorogoro crater, home to the highest concentration of wildlife mixed with graceful Masai herders and their token cattle. Traverse Olduvai Gorge, home to our earliest ancestors. Enjoy a locally brewed beer, traditional dancing and a cultural infusion at Mto Wa Mbu village, then head off to explore the scenic backdrop of Mount Meru drifting over the lively town of Arusha. Acquire a taste for the exotic east and let the bustling yet picturesque city of Stonetown infuse your senses with its Africa, Arabic, Indian and Swahili influences. Are all park fees included in this tour?

All park and entrance fees for sites listed in the itinerary is included in your tour fare.

Is it necessary to pre-book the optional Serengeti balloon safari?

It is recommended to book this excursion along with your tour as due to popular demand it is often fully booked. Subject to availability this activity can be booked via your tour guide at the start of the safari.

When is the best time to see the wildebeest migration?

The precise timing of the wildebeest migration changes annually depending on patterns of rainfall so it is a very unpredictable and spontaneous natural event. As a general guide, the best time to see the migration is usually between July & August. It´ s at this time that the wildebeest head northwards, towards the Masai Mara (in Kenya) and you get the "typical" mass river crossings you see documented on the television

How much money will I need for meals and excursions?

Lunches are priced from $10 and dinners from about $15. Soft drinks are roughly $1 and beers about $2. Optional activities start from $20.
